The first time you listen to one of these songs, you think "There's too much going on... It's too busy... I don't like it..." But the second time you listen to it, the song sounds a little better, and the next time, it sounds a little better, and eventually you learn to love it. These songs have depth. There's so much beautiful, careful detail packed into them... It just feels so well-designed. It's kind of orchestral in that way, there are so many different parts and aspects, all brought together to harmony. Love it. But you gotta be patient to love it. It's not all the same in quality, though. Fly Away gets a little tiresome, but conversely, Damn Them All to Hell, though eight minutes and fifteen seconds long, is a phenomenal piece of work (bonus points if you can guess where the title is from before listening to the song). - Protobadger, http://www.archive.org. | ||
